The East-West company has participated in all the most essential events of the HoReCa industry in February.

In February the East-West company have participated in three most essential public events of the HoReCa industry, acting as a co-organizer and representing new products of 2008 — US marble beef, produced by AB Foods and MB+ grass-fed marble beef produced by Nippon.

On February, 13, the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) held a traditional annual reception for its members and partners, devoted to the largest Exhibition of Food Products «Prodexpo-2008». More than 200 visitors accepted an invitation to take part in the reception, including USMEF employees, diplomats and employees of the Office of Agricultural Affairs (OAA) of the US Embassy in Russia, leading US meat exporters, representatives of Russian state and public organizations, Russian importers, distributors, restaurateurs & hoteliers and American Beef Club members. US producers showed a keen interest in the opening of the Russian beef market that has taken place a few weeks ago. First shipments of US cooled and chilled marble beef of the Modest Choice category have been made by the East-West company. Imported meat have been highly appreciated by restaurateurs and representatives of retail chains. USMEF makes its planning on the assumption that US marble beef will return its high popularity among Russian gourmets and be able to change alternative Australian and Argentine meat products on the Russian meat market. The East-West company acted as a co-organizers of the reception and gave the visitors a chance to try US marble beef.

On February, 14, a reception devoted to the opening of the Russian representative office of the Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) — Meat and Livestock Corporation of Australia took place in the Office of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia in the Russian Federation. MLA is a noncommercial organization aimed to increase the demand for the Australian meat and cattle both in the country and abroad. The Australian Ambassador in Russia, the Director of the MLA European representative Office, representatives of the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), representatives of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service and Australian and Russian meat market operators took part in the event.

MLA ceremonial reception has been held under the auspices of the East-West company, including the help of Roman Burtsev and Vitaly Tsukanov, chief-cooks of the Laboratory of Taste, in preparation of Australian lamb and Oakey marble beef produced by Nippon with a marbling score MB 3–4 .

On Febtuary, 21, took place the first open meeting of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia in this year. «An open meeting» is a traditional event held by the Federation in order to summarize the results of its business and discuss most acute problems of the industry. Chief executives and top managers of the HORECA industry companies have been invited for the event, in total more than 80 representatives of the HORECA industry from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronegh, Riazan, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Cheliabinsk, Nighny Novgorod, Tver, Perm and Kazan took place in the meeting. The East-West company gave the visitors a chance to try US marble beef produced by AB Foods and MB+ grass-fed marble beef produced by Nippon.

It is worth mentioning that at all these events attended by most active market participants of the HORECA industry, meat, produced by AB Foods and Nippon has been highly appraised.
