On February, 14, a reception devoted to the opening of the Russian representative office of the Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) Meat and Livestock Corporation of Australia took place in the Office of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia in the Russian Federation, Mr. Robert Tisone. MLA is a noncommercial organization aimed to increase the demand for the Australian meat and cattle both in the country and abroad.

Maksimova , MLA representative in Russia, representatives of the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), representatives of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service and Australian and Russian meat market operators took part in the event. « One of the primary goals of the MLA representative office in Russia will be the help to the Australian businessmen to increase their trade volume with Russia. But it should be mentioned as nearly as important fact that Russian importers will have an opportunity to get information on the product range at first-hand,
and it will help them to make a right choice for their business development», said Mr. D. Jones.
«Opening of the MLA Russian office is a remarkable event not only for distributors, but also for all HoReCa industry operators which feel a lack of information about meat, a main dish of any restaurant menu», said Vladimir Raukhman, the Director General of the «East-West»
company, a largest Russian supplier of Australian meat that had actively supported the MLA reception.
The seminar will take place on March, 19. The subject of the seminar is : «Spring/ Summer Offer: „Dutch“ bakery products and „Dutch“ muffins made according specifications, with different fillings which have shelf life from 7 days up to 1 month.»
