The New Menu Of Aeroflot


Next year, 2013, the best known Russian air carrier, the Aeroflot Company, will celebrate its 90th anniversary. In honor of the anniversary, starting 1 February, passengers of the company will enjoy a jubilee menu created especially for the occasion by world-famous chefs.

Stars of world cuisine, whose restaurants have been awarded the world’s most prestigious prizes—the Michelin Stars—took part in developing the jubilee menu. Pierre Gagnaire (3 Michelin stars, France), Björn Franzen (2 Michelin stars, Sweden), Alain Llorca (1 Michelin Star, France) have offered their views for on-board high cuisine.

It is a special honor for us that, together with the world-renowned maîtres, the management of the Aeromar company, which provides food on board Aeroflot, has added Roman Burtsev, master chef with the East-West Laboratory of Taste, to the task of working on the celebratory menu. Roman offered the following dishes to the judgment of the high jury: leg of lamb in a barberry sauce, duck shin braised in cherry sauce, top blade with wild mushrooms, and filet of turkey with pancakes and cowberry sauce.
